Mavs Pick Up Rights to Ajinca in 2nd Round of NBA Draft, Tim Hardaway Jr. Headed to Detroit

Our Western Conference champion, Dallas Mavericks made a move in the 2024 Draft acquiring the draft right to small forward, Melvin Ajinca from Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball in France. This move comes from a trade with the New York Knicks.

Ajinca (6’8 – 218lbs) averaged 9.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in France’s top league and his cousin, Alexis formerly played for the Mavericks.

Tim Hardaway Jr. and three second round picks are also on the move with the Mavs shipping them to the Detroit Pistons for Quentin Grimes.
